Fanfare FM-2G Antenna Installation

This Yamaha T-1 is the destination for the FM signal provided by the Fanfare FM-2G whip antenna. It's tuned to WOSU from about 75 miles away, and it is showing a Stereo light (just barely!)

It's surprising that it receives the signal at all given that the antenna is low and mounted on the wrong side of the house from the transmitter.

A Radio Shack yagi mounted on the chimney provides a much stronger signal to a lesser tuner upstairs. As a result, that tuner almost always receives WOSU better and in stereo, although there's some minor background hiss.
