Grad Student Research Project Guidelines
In addition to the technical and creative projects undertaken by students in the undergraduate sections of Photoshop, a research project is expected in the graduate level Digital Imaging class (VICO 571). This project is loosely defined and can be satisfied by undertaking some research into any aspect of digital imaging. Possible research topics may include (but are not limited to):
These are some ideas that may spark ideas of your own. I may give special consideration for projects that can be published on my Digital Imaging website for sharing.
Some instrumentation is available for students wishing to pursue technical issues. We have various monitor calibrating units for short-term usage. A Gretag-McBeth Eye One spectrophotometer should be available also.
Please submit a summary of your idea in writing for review by the deadline. A few descriptive sentences should suffice.
The completed project will be due on the day of the final examination.
