IP Address

Before you start, you need to know your Mac’s IP address if you want to serve pages from your desktop. Look for a control panel called TCP/IP. It will show your internet settings including your IP address. Record this number.

Important Note: This summer CNS will change most office computers to select a temporary IP address from a pool of numbers instead of fixed, manually-configured IP addresses. This change may make serving web pages from your office computer impossible. If that happens, you must publish your pages to a server elsewhere with a permanently assigned IP-address.
