PC Web Authoring Software

There are many software packages available in the Web authoring category. Here's a short list of packages that I have heard something about:

There are many, many more, and the field is crowded with competitors.

Even if you don't have a web authoring program, software you already have may work fine for text-only work. Go here for a simple page that you can view as HTML source code. Copy the file, and substitute your own text.

Some word processing programs (i.e., Corel WordPerfect v. 7+) also can write their native files to HTML. Some spreadsheets can be published on the web, but it is currently problematic. Click here to see a class grade sheet for a VisCom photo class (NOTE: I removed this link on 1/2007).
